National Day of Civic Hacking!

The awesome multi day event with the unTweetable (that’s a word, right?) name.  We are tackling civic engagement with our 3rd annual National Day of Civic Hacking event on June 3rd – 4th.  This year it will be expanded into a two day event with something for everyone!  Friday night (beginning at 6:00pm) will be a no-tech community night geared towards conversation, problem identification and solutions.  There will an opportunity to talk about at data, government services, community opportunities and more.

Don’t worry you can bring your computers on Saturday where we will task lists and ways for you to get involved on official Code for Charlotte projects.  There will be opportunities to code, write, market or tell a stories about the projects.  You can see the list of active projects on our Projects Page.  There will also be opportunities to map out new projects and establish new partnerships toward solving some of our civic problems.

We believe in celebrating all things, but especially the closing of a successful year.  We are growing, progressing and meeting new friends. What better thing to celebrate? We can’t think of one.  So, our final meeting of the year will be a mixer celebration.  No work, just food, friends and conversation.
